Do you find yourself going round and round with the same thoughts that make you mad, sad or anxious?
Here is a fun tool that I learned from Dr Martha Beck - Your Greatest Hits.
Listen in on your mind as it goes down its usual path that takes you from, say, 'I wish that had gone better' all the way to 'I'll never be good enough'.
You might notice that you go through the same 'Greatest Hits' thoughts each time.
Most of us have about 5 that we visit regularly.
Think of them like songs that you play the most often and sing along with.
What if next time, you just saw the song on your device and decided not to sing along (believe it) or to skip it all together and listen to a song that made you feel more competent, happy or less worried?
Get to know your Greatest Hits and question them until they lose their power and you can skip them
Big love,
Lara xx
